AI app rescue and repair

Your AI built app is stuck. Work out what it needs

Broken logins, failed payments or another prompt that undoes the last fix. We assess the problem and scope a repair or rebuild, with a fixed price agreed before paid work starts.

Need a review before deciding on repairs? Explore app readiness reviews.

We can assess apps made with Base44, Lovable, Bolt, Replit, Cursor or Claude Code.

An illustrative starting point

Repair, rebuild or finish it yourself?

An app works in the demo but fails when another user signs in. The first conversation helps identify what needs a closer look.

Scope
Agreed access, repair boundaries and a written quote

Illustrative decision path. The free consultation is not a complete code audit. Any deeper review is scoped separately before work starts.

Every issue came with a practical fix, sequenced so we could ship safely, and they handed over their testing tools so the value outlasted the engagement.

Where we can help

Fix the cause, then test the change

These are examples of issues we can investigate. The review scope depends on your application, evidence and agreed access.

Exposed API keys and credentials

Secrets sit in frontend code or committed files, where anyone opening developer tools can find them.

Missing auth and access controls

Endpoints run without proper authentication or authorisation checks, so users can see or change data that is not theirs.

Crashes under real traffic

The application works for the developer but fails as concurrent users arrive.

No input validation

User input reaches the application or database without safe constraints, and queries are built straight from what users type.

Messy architecture

There is no clear structure, everything is tightly coupled and changes keep breaking unrelated features.

No tests, logging or deploy pipeline

Releases are manual, failures leave no useful logs and there is no repeatable pipeline or safe rollback.

Is this the right starting point for your business?

The app works in the demo and breaks with real users

Real users are hitting bugs, seeing data that is not theirs or waiting on pages that fall over. You need it fixed before the risk grows.

Every new prompt breaks something that already worked

The platform got you most of the way, then each change undoes a feature you finished last week. The last stretch is taking longer than everything before it.

You have hit the limit of what the builder will do

You need an integration, a payment flow, proper authentication or a deployment that the tool does not handle, and the AI keeps going in circles.

You inherited a codebase nobody understands

The person who built it has moved on, or you are the developer who has been handed an AI built app and asked to stabilise and document it.

Base44, Lovable, Bolt, Replit, Cursor and Claude Code are starting context. The application itself determines the work.

The next step

A free conversation before you commit

A public link, screen recording or description is enough for the first call. Do not send passwords or credentials through the form.

  1. Tell us which tool built it

Base44, Lovable, Bolt, Replit, Cursor, Claude Code or something else. Each platform leaves its own patterns, and that shapes where we look first.

  2. Show us where it is stuck

A link to the app, a screen recording or a description of the error is enough. We do not need repository access for the first call.

  3. Get a straight answer

We tell you whether it looks like a repair, a rebuild or something you can finish yourself.

  4. Choose the next move

If it is worth scoping, we confirm the access we need for a written fixed price quote. You are free to leave it there.

How agreed repair work is delivered

The following describes agreed review and repair work, not everything included in the free consultation. Scope, access, price and timing are confirmed first.

We review the whole application

We go through the codebase, covering security vulnerabilities, architecture, performance and code quality.

You get a plain English report

The report explains what is wrong and what needs to change, prioritised by severity.

You get a fixed price before any work starts

The repair scope, price and expected delivery window are agreed in writing. Small fixes start from a few thousand dollars.

We patch and refactor

We patch security holes, refactor fragile architecture, add proper authentication, error handling and logging, then test the result.

The app stays yours

The finished application is documented, tested and deployed, and it stays in your GitHub account and infrastructure.

You do not need a technical brief for the first conversation.

Practical questions

What you might want to know

How much does it cost to fix an AI built app?

It depends on the size and complexity of the application. We scope every project individually and give you a fixed price quote before any work starts. Small fixes start from a few thousand dollars. Larger rescues involving a full architecture rework are quoted against your specific situation. The consultation and scoping are free.

Can you fix an app built with Base44, Lovable or Bolt?

Yes. Lovable and Bolt are the two platforms we fix most often, and we know the patterns and vulnerabilities these tools produce. Base44 apps are handled the same way. We also fix apps built with Cursor, Claude Code, Replit, v0.dev, Windsurf and ChatGPT.

What if my app is too broken to fix?

Sometimes a rebuild is faster and cheaper than a repair. If that is the case, we tell you upfront, before you commit to anything. We can rebuild the app using the same AI assisted tools, but with proper architecture, security and human review from the start.

What access do you need?

The exact access depends on the application. We usually need the repository, the deployment environment, logs and a test account. Access is agreed in writing, kept to the minimum needed and removed at handover.

How long does a rescue take?

A fixed price rescue engagement typically takes two to four weeks after the assessment. The expected delivery window is confirmed with the quote, so you know the timing before you approve the work.

Do I keep the code?

Yes. The finished application stays in your own GitHub account and infrastructure, and the agreed handback is documented so the next person to work on it can pick it up.

Will the app need downtime, and what support follows the repair?

We identify likely downtime, release steps, rollback and the support window during scoping. A repair does not include an open ended warranty or managed service unless the proposal says so. Ongoing hosting and maintenance can be scoped separately.

Do you work with businesses outside Perth?

Yes. VibeZero is Perth based and works Australia wide. A rescue is delivered remotely where the systems and access allow it.
