Why Sydney
Finance heavy market, compliance heavy workloads
Sydney's concentration of financial and professional services creates high value AI use cases in document processing, client reporting, contract review and internal operations. APRA regulated entities must work within the prudential standards that apply to them, while Australian financial services licensees and other regulated businesses may also have ASIC obligations. Those duties depend on the entity and the work. They do not automatically apply to every Sydney business.
NSW privacy law also has a narrower scope than it is often given. The Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 applies to NSW public sector agencies. The Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 also covers health service providers and organisations handling health information within its scope. Many private businesses are instead governed by the federal Privacy Act where they are APP entities. We map data flows and controls against the obligations the client identifies with its advisers. We do not provide legal or regulatory advice.
