In detail

Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) extends AEO beyond citation into brand representation, ensuring that when a generative AI model mentions or recommends businesses in your category, yours is included accurately and favourably. GEO covers the full footprint that AI models train on and retrieve from, including web content, review platforms, social signals, structured data, industry directories, press coverage and forum discussions. Unlike traditional SEO it is harder to measure directly because model training data is not transparent, but the surface area of influence is much larger.
